SUNDAY13th April 2008 Charles Gidley Sensei 7th Dan Sensei Gidley a former founder member of the K.U.G.B. from 1966 to 1988 left the organisation and formed his own Association under the name The British Shotokan Kyogi his Association is affiliated to the Japan Shotokan Karate Association and is lead by Chief instructor Keigo Abe Sensei 8th Dan Sensei Gidley was awarded the rank of 7th Dan by the JSKA he is also a fellow of the International Shotokan-Ryu Karate Shihankai and awarded the title Kyoshi for his efforts towards Shotokan karate.
