B.K.A. REFERE & JUDGES QUALIFICATIONS

REFEREE LATEST – EXAM RESULTS

On Saturday 13th October 2007 we held a Kumite Referee and Judges course at the George Carnell Leisure Centre, Urmston, Manchester. Once again the course was well attended with a mixture of old heads and new candidates who are just starting out on their Referee journey. It was nice to see Gary Oosthuizen and Tanya Alfaioli make the trip from London again and a special note to Peter Noble who attended for the first time, it was also the first time he had gone through the rules and yet finished with a very credible 60% pass on the theory test and Martin Thompson who at only 14yrs is our youngest candidate, which shows that you are never to young ( or old ) to start.

The new qualifications based on the W.K.F. competition rules are designed to give very candidate the stepping stones to an Association, national or even International qualification. The course was thoroughly enjoyable with both theory and practical training, it was also FREE! And open to all B.K.A. members of any age or grade. The qualifications are listed below with the required pass mark on the theory exam.

BKA Table assistant – 50% Pass
BKA Kumite Judge ‘B’ – 60 % Pass
